myislandday.com is a lightweight travel tool built to work without tracking you.
We count visits and interactions using first-party analytics stored on our own servers — not yours. We do not collect names, email addresses, IP addresses, or anything that identifies you personally. All data is aggregate ("50 people visited Paros today", not who they were). No tracking cookies. No cross-site identifiers. No third-party analytics scripts.
When you tap a booking link (ferry, car rental, sunbeds), we generate a random ID called a click_id and record it alongside the link type, the island, and the time. We pass this ID to the affiliate partner so that if you complete a booking, we can confirm it and earn a small commission. The click_id is a random UUID — it contains no personal information. It is stored on our servers for up to 90 days, then deleted. It is never shared with advertisers, never used to build a profile about you, and never sent to any third party except the single affiliate partner you clicked through to.
We process this data under legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) to operate the site and sustain it through affiliate revenue.
