Paros is a Cycladic island in the central Aegean with over 30 named beaches, from sheltered family coves to exposed windsurfer flats. Its south-west shores — Aliki, Logaras, Chrisi Akti — stay calm when the meltemi blows from the north. Ferries connect Paros to Athens in roughly five hours and to neighbouring Naxos in under an hour.
